This is an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent communication, research and analytical skills to make a real difference in influencing public policy to benefit victims and survivors of gender based violence.
The volunteer will ideally be able to work for 2 to 3 days per week on an ongoing basis, and will be involved in a wide range of policy and public affairs activity. These will include, researching a range of violence against women and girls issues, drafting briefings for internal and external audiences, analysing and managing data and assisting with communication with key stakeholders.
Refuge will reimburse travel expenses connected with your volunteering for us (receipts must be submitted monthly). A reimbursement of up to £9 for daily travel to and from home to the Head Office: 4th Floor International House, St Katharine's Way, London E1W 1UN. Travel expenses can be claimed for travel by public transport (bus, train or tube) and travel by car. Receipts and tickets must be attached to all travel claims. Mileage for travel by car will be reimbursed at 45p per mile.
