Empowering and protecting women and children are central to Refuge’s mission.
Would you like to save and change the lives of women escaping violence and abuse? Refuge exists to do just that. We are the country’s largest single provider of specialist support to women and children experiencing domestic violence, rape and sexual assault, ‘honour based’ violence and forced marriage, stalking, female genital mutilation, forced prostitution, modern slavery and human trafficking.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a direct and digital fundraising specialist to grow and develop our supporter base. In this new role, you will be responsible for managing online and offline campaigns, as well being closely involved in a completely new and innovative project to recruit new supporters for Refuge. The post holder will join the passionate and dynamic fundraising team at Refuge, and support the goal of creating a world where violence against women and girls (VAWG) is not tolerated.
As a proactive member of the team with a keen eye for detail, you will be able to work under your own initiative and juggle many tasks at once, working to tight deadlines. You will have strong project management skills, as well as in depth knowledge of individual giving principles, including Gift Aid and Data Protection.

You will need to have experience of creating, managing and delivering successful campaigns to grow income using direct and digital marketing techniques. This will include managing third parties, reviewing and editing copy as well as continually reviewing and learning from all activity. This will all be driven by an understanding of what motivates our supporters and a strong knowledge of direct marketing principles and practice.
|Benefits:||28 days annual leave, Peoples Pension|

No agencies please - as a charity we work hard to keep our costs down.
Refuge is the UK’s largest provider of specialist services for victims of all forms of gender-based violence (domestic, sexual, so called ‘honour’ violence, trafficking, prostitution, forced marriage, stalking and FGM). Every day we support over 6,600 women and children in our national network of services. These include Independent Domestic, Sexual and Gender-based Violence Advocacy services (IDVAs/ISVAs and IGVAs), community outreach, specialist refuge accommodation, sanctuary services and culturally-specific services and the Freephone 24 Hour National Domestic Violence Helpline (run in partnership between Refuge and Women’s Aid). We advise Government and lobby hard to keep violence against women and girls high on the public agenda. We run award-winning prevention and public education campaigns, managing a busy press office and website, and we are an accredited training provider. We give a voice to the voiceless.
